Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy sets out how we collect, use and share your information as you use our site.
Who we are
Water Sprite is a business name under which Conrad Canterford markets products, produces blogs and other content, and carries out a photography business. This Privacy Policy is specific to the website https://watersprite.shop/ and related Creator landing pages that form part of it.
We take the privacy of our users seriously, and are very mindful of the trust you place in us.
You can find out more about us on our website. Our business website address is: https://watersprite.com.au/
What we collect and how we use it
Placing Orders
We collect personal and financial information from you to enable us to supply you products you order from our website. Provision of that information is necessary to supply products and to undertake reasonable fraud checking to protect the viability of our business.
We may use your provided contact information (including phone numbers and/or email addresses) to contact you with information about your order. We may also provide that information to third parties providing services in relation to your order (for example, delivery companies) so that they can contact you regarding your order. We will not use this information for marketing purposes unless you also sign up to an email list for that purpose.
Email Lists
We operate several email lists to allow both us our the Creators we support to communicate with people who elect to join those lists. Signing up to an email list is entirely optional. By signing up to an email list, you agree that we may send you marketing information of relevance to that list.
Your email address or other details will not be shared with any other service, nor with any Creators, as a result of you joining the list or receiving emails from it (other than to the extent necessary to send you emails, obviously). Emails to those lists will be only sent on authorisation from Water Sprite staff, and will only be sent where relevant to the list or where necessary to communicate changes to the Water Sprite services.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. Login cookies will be removed if you click “log out” from the menu.
in order for our website to be found on the internet, it is necessary for various cookies to be set. This includes tracking cookies and other embedded code in our web pages that interacts with social media sites and search engines. We’re sorry. We don’t like the intrusive nature of some of those sites either, but it is necessary. If people cannot find our site and buy things from us, we cannot do what we do. People cannot find us without us being listed on these services and including their tracking code. If you can demonstrate a legal and ethical way we can achieve the same reach WITHOUT being on social media sites, we’re all ears! You can generally turn off the more invasive features through your settings on those websites.
User Accounts
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username and they cannot change or delete purchase history). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. Users cannot see or access details of other users.
You may also chose to include address and payment information in your account to facilitate quicker purchases in the future. Storing that information in your account is entirely optional and if you choose to do so, you agree to Water Sprite holding and using that information to facilitate future purchases. We actually recommend that you do not store credit card information in your account. There are better ways to facilitate payments, but we provide it if you want it.
You may receive emails from Water Sprite concerning the use or operation of your user account. You will not receive marketing emails unless you subscribe to a relevant email list. By creating a user account you agree that Water Sprite can send you emails for these purposes.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content. That may include tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
We have no control over this. We minimise the amount of embedded content to protect you as much as possible, but sometimes it is necessary to communicate what we want to communicate. Sorry.
