About the Merimbula Boardwalk collection
In January 2022, after nearly 2 years of pandemic, I decided it was time to get out of the house and do something. So, I packed my stuff in my car, and drove to Merimbula, on the New South Wales south coast.
I’d been here previously, and it is a delightful little place. A mix of beach and bush, and a vibrant town community as well. On a pleasantly warm afternoon, camera bag in hand, I headed out for a walk along the Merimbula Boardwalk.
This walk runs approximately 2.5 kms from just out of the town centre around the shore of Merimbula Lake to a little cafe and boat-hire place at Top Lake. Sadly, the cafe was closed when I got there…
So, enjoy this pleasant little walk with me as I share the variety of scenery along the route.
This set of photos has particular significance to me personally. When looking at my shots after I got home, I realised that I was taking decent quality photographs. On the strength of that, I decided it was time to take my photography more seriously with a view to becoming a professional. While I do think I would do better now, they are still good photographs.
